Wig Length Guide

Wig length is measured from the root of the hair at the cap to the tip of the strand, with the hair pulled straight. Use the chart below to visualize how each length will fall on your body.

Note: Curly and wavy wigs will appear shorter when worn due to curl shrinkage. A 20-inch curly wig may visually read as 14–16 inches. Always size up if you prefer curly styles at a specific length.

How to Measure Wig Length

Getting your measurements right ensures your wig sits securely and looks flawless. You'll need a soft fabric measuring tape. Measure in inches.

  1. Head Circumference Start at your front hairline, go around your entire head just above the ears and back to the start. This is your primary cap size measurement.
  2. Front to Nape Place the tape at the center of your front hairline, go over the top of your head, and bring it down to the nape of your neck.
  3. Ear to Ear (Across Top) Measure from the top of one ear, across the crown of your head, to the top of the other ear.
  4. Ear to Ear (Around Back) Measure from the front hairline at one ear, around the back of your head, to the front hairline at the other ear.
  5. Temple to Temple Measure from one temple, across your forehead hairline, to the other temple.
  6. Nape of Neck Measure the width of your nape from left to right — this affects how snug the back of the cap feels.

Wig Cap Size Guide

Most of our wigs come in petite, average (medium), and large. Use the circumference measurement you took above to find your size.
